WORK FOR HIRE AGREEMENT FOR ALL VERSIONS OF
THE SONG IN THIS AGREEMENT

This is an agreement made this {{now}} between the undersigned PROVIDER and the undersigned CLIENT as set out below:




  1. CLIENT has agreed to employ PROVIDER in connection with the production, mix & master, vocal arrangement, recording, editing, and preparation of the FULL TRACK master sound recordings of the following songs: see below on the following terms

  2. CLIENT agrees to pay PROVIDER [$ {{Amount}}] in return for the FULL SONG master sound recording(s) of the song.

  3. The CLIENT is required to make full payment for the project only upon receipt of the approved final master sound recording, which includes stems. Once this payment is received, the PROVIDER will send the master recordings to the CLIENT.

  4. CLIENT and PROVIDER agree that upon payment of the final payment mentioned in (3) above, all rights to the FULL TRACK master sound recording(s) of the song, including copyrights, publishing rights, and master rights, will be owned ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) by the CLIENT.

  5. CLIENT and PROVIDER agree that any revenue generated by the master recordings mentioned in this agreement are to be paid ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) to the CLIENT.

  6. CLIENT and PROVIDER agree that the CLIENT has the right to pitch the final FULL TRACK master sound recording(s) of the song to other artists, publishers and for any and all sync licensing placements, remix, reproduce, as well as to do a commercial release of the master recording, to all existing streaming platforms (which include Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal, etc)

  7. CLIENT and PROVIDER agree that the PROVIDER guarantees that the master recordings delivered and sold to CLIENT are its own creation and are authentic and do not infringe the copyright of any other third party. Just to be clear, this clause is referring to the instrumental delivered by PROVIDER, which has to be 100% made by PROVIDER, without sampling anyone's work. This is NOT referring to cover tracks, which are 100% legal and do NOT require licensing permission from the original artist as per the Music Modernization Act.

    See below: You no longer need a cover song license for compulsory interactive audio streams on major digital music providers like Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Tidal, and Deezer; the Music Modernization Act now requires these platforms to handle the licensing.   8. In the event that PROVIDER delivers copyrighted content to CLIENT, without acknowledging this prior to delivery of the master recordings, CLIENT shall have the right to sue PROVIDER for any damages caused, either pecuniary or otherwise. PROVIDER shall also reimburse and indemnify CLIENT for all costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees.

  9. PROVIDER shall not resell, remake/recreate/reproduce/re-record, perform, engineer, or remix any of the master recordings delivered to CLIENT, which include the tracks in this agreement. PROVIDER offers the CLIENT exclusivity for the creation of master recordings.

  10. In the case that PROVIDER breaches any of the points above, CLIENT shall have the right to sue PROVIDER for any damages caused, either pecuniary or otherwise. PROVIDER shall also reimburse and indemnify CLIENT for all costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees. No modification of the agreement shall be valid unless in writing and agreed upon by both Parties.


CLIENT and PROVIDER have entered into this written agreement as of the date above written.
